I stayed here with my 3 young children. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm with a private bathroom. The room, beds and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were really helpful, very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. We felt very safe and welcome and I would recommend staying here for people travelling with kids who want to explore the city and surrounding area.

Best hostel in perth! The rooms and amenities are regularly cleaned. The kitchen is equipped with all the cookwares with free tea and coffee. They also have movie room and a courtyard where you can spend your lazy times and socialize outside your room. Most of the guests are respectul and laid back and always plan for their next adventure around WA. Fun games and activities are also organized by the event coordinator. The managers are so helpful and always try their best to accommodate your requests. Adam is so cool and so is Alex and the other managers. I work as fifo and the free storage is really awesome so I can leave my stuff when I'm away. Plus it's just so close to the train station and the shops. I highly recommend this place to everyone who are looking for an affordable, clean and decent place to stay in the city!

I love the Emperor's Crown.
I have been staying there on and off since 2013. Its been my home away from home firstly when I was flying constantly back and forth to the mines.
Also, its been a safe and welcoming place to stay at - in good times and bad. It's been ideal when in town for job interviews, birthdays, weddings, funerals and other special events.
It's clean, it's fun and its easy to stay there and the location is amazing!
